Political madness

A young man in his late 20 s , identified as Chimezie Dike , was on Saturday stabbed to death during a fight with one Henry Ekeozor over the pasting of campaign posters on the wall of a building .

The incident was said to have happened around 8 .20 pm at 40 B Azikiwe Street, Mile 2 , Diobu , Port Harcourt , Rivers State.

The deceased , according to sources , was not a member of the All Progressives Congress , but was contracted to paste the campaign posters of Collyns Owondah, a House of Representatives candidate of the party in the area .

It was gathered that Henry and his mother , Ifeoma Ekeozor, a woman leader of the APC in the area, had expressed dissatisfaction over the pasting of campaign posters of the House of Representatives candidate on the wall of their residence .

The disapproval by the duo reportedly caused a fierce argument with Dike , a development that degenerated into a fight before the victim was stabbed in the chest.

A source said Dike bled to death before he was rushed to a nearby hospital , where he was confirmed dead by doctors.

The source , who identified himself as Dengi , said , “ The woman ( Ifeoma Ekeozor ) is a woman leader in the APC , while the man , whose campaign posters were being posted , is also of the same political party , but they belong to different factions of the party .

“ The young man pasting the campaign poster was Chimezie Dike from the Nwangele Local Government Area of Imo State. The boy came to the street to paste the posters of a politician running for an election .

“ In the process , the son of the woman leader began to quarrel with him and within a short time , the son of the woman stabbed Chimezie . He ( Chimezie) died before he got to the hospital .”

*_DEPRESSION IS REAL!!!_*😱😱😱

When that popular Nollywood actor Muna Obiekwe died some years ago, the story that went round was that he had suffered a kidney disease and needed funds, but was too scared of mockery to reach out to people for help.
Some of you blamed him for dying in silence.
Some judged it as pride……

A few days ago, a popular Lagos DJ committed suicide.
Some have condemned him already, saying, “na because of ordinary woman you go kill yasef?”
Some have also blamed the death on the woman for not having ‘spirit of forgiveness’!

I have also observed some microwave- overnight-motivators posting things like “speak out, don’t die in silence, we are here for you, nyennyenye!

And, I laugh!

Over time, I have come to find that we as a people are far from being as kindhearted as we are wont to project ourselves to be.

The average Nigerian is not a philanthropist but an opportunist!

There! I said it!

Oftentimes, it is all about ‘showmanship’.

That is why your neighbor knows that they’d rather eat their cold food in peace than come to knock your door to ask for a box of matches, on that rainy afternoon when theirs suddenly goes too wet to strike or finishes.

That is why your friend who has had a bladder failure and wet her bed, would rather keep the mattress indoors ( even at the risk of it getting rotten!), than bring it out to airdry.

That is why some would rather lock themselves indoors, drink garri without sugar for days and keep smiling-pretend, than tell you exactly how it is doing them!

You, yes you, that says you care, do you really care?

Are you not just saying it to sound relevant?

That woman ( single mother of three) that approached you for assistance last term towards paying her children’s school fees, didn’t you turn her down after preaching a long sermon about why women should keep themselves? Didn’t you throw some ‘useful’ advice her way about ‘how not to be lazy’?

That pregnant girl that died having an abortion, would you have taken her in had she come to you for shelter, in the event her parents threw her out?

That young man who has approached your gate severally to give you his CV, did you not haughtily turn him down, while murmuring, “Am I Buhari that is responsible for your suffering?”

But, you went on RantHQ to throw around a few thousands of naira, forming philanthropist, because over there, more people will “see” you and “hail’ you and ” pray” for you!

You organise free -giving events, give out publicly for all to “see” because it will “sell” your “brand” not because you really give a hoot whether those poor people live or die!

You can donate cartons of juice to charity but are ready to beat and design your househelp’s body with koboko, over a cup of juice!

If your intentions for the dying world are truly genuine, look around you: there is always someone, in your hood, your family, your place of primary assignment, your office, whose smile looks out of place.

If you look closer, it is easy to trace the track of tears on that your friend’s face, no matter how much she masks it…

So, before you go forming ‘defender of the depressed universe’, ask yourself:

If friend A is in distress and needs a quick helping hand ( without public announcement!)will she come to me?

If friend B has been diagnosed of a terminal disease or a life threatening one, will she confide in me? Has she confided in me before and I let her down?

If neighbor C is cooking and her gas suddenly finishes, will she have the boldness to knock on my door, pot in hand, to finish her cooking? If she does, will I oblige?

If Church member D has a pressing need, (or an insignificant one as little as not having transport to go home after service!), will he/she be bold enough to tell me about it? Will I respond without judgement or will I even help out at all without a sermon?

If Mrs E, who has suffered a temporary misfortune, comes to me with her pressing need to feed her children or pay some basic bills, will I give without reminding her of how her mates sell pure water or fry akara to eke out a living?

These are the pending issues!

If your answer to the questions above are in the affirmative, congratulations, you are a philanthropist!

If not, it does not matter what image you project to the world, you are nothing but an opportunist, seeking to be noticed by the ‘right’ eyes, in order to use others misfortunes to enrich your greedy self!

*ABOUT YOUR BUSINESS*

*Mark Zukerberg invited 5 people to his Harvard dorm room 12 years ago to discuss a business opportunity – “Facebook”*

*Only 2 people showed up and they got in.*
Today, those two people are billionaires: Dustin Moskovitz ($10.7 Billion) and Eduardo Saverin ($7.4 Billion).

*I wonder what it will be like for the other three that were also invited but didn’t show up.*

There is nothing more expensive than a closed mind.

*OPEN YOUR MIND TO OPPORTUNITIES TO EARN WITHOUT STRESS*
While many people dream of becoming better persons than the previous years, only a few actually do it.

*WHY?*
While many people dream of quitting their jobs and start their own businesses, only a few actually do it.

*WHY?*
Why is it that some people are more successful than others?
*BECAUSE the power of their dreams is more stronger than their excuses.*

*1) FEAR*
*2) I don’t have the money* (who has?)

*3) I don’t have any contacts to start with* (Really?)

*4) I’m not smart enough* (You just crowned yourself as mumu)

*5) I can’t talk* (Are you dumb?)

*6) I don’t have the time* (Yet you have the time to wake up by 5am and get dressed to be in traffic)

*7) I’m too busy* (Doing what exactly?)

*8) It takes too long to build a business* ( But you envy Dangote)

*9) I’m afraid. Building a business is too risky for me* (Is eating not risky? Is sleeping not risky? People have died in their sleep)

*10) I don’t like dealing with people* (Mr Island…I greet your Excellency)

*11) I’m too old* (Age is never a barrier)
*12) Waiting for all the lights to turn GREEN* (Lights turn GREEN when you press the button)

*13) My husband,my wife, my parents don’t support it* (They don’t support you being broke either but you are)

*14) My job is too demanding and I travel a lot* (Arik Wings of Africa)

*15) I’m not good at marketing* (Yet you are too good at forwarding numerous WhatsApp posts)

*16) No,it’s network. I can’t do it.* (But you spread gossip like wildfire but can’t spread a business that will better your life?)

*17) I’m not a professional (Who was born a professional?)*
But if they were the deciding factors, nobody would ever succeed.

*For every reason why it’s not possible, there are hundreds of people who have faced the same circumstances and succeeded.*

Lots of people overcome these so-called limiting factors, so it can’t be the limiting factors that stop you but it’s YOU that stop YOU.

DONALD TRUMP should be a lesson to some of us that nothing in the world can stop a determined mind!!!

*THINK INVESTMENT*
*THINK PROPRENEURS WORLD*

Gunman who ‘killed his girlfriend, her two children and their grandmother before opening fire on cops’ could face death penalty

A Gunman who killed his girlfriend, her two children, and their grandmother, before opening fire on cops is likely going to face a death penalty for the bloody crime.
46-year-old Richard Darren Emery of St. Charles, Missouri reportedly shoots his 39-year-old girlfriend Kate Kasten, her children eight-year-old Zoe Kasten and 10-year-old Jonathan Kasten and their grandmother 61-year-old Jane Moeckel late Friday.
He also exchanged gunfire with officers as he fled and was captured several hours later wounded and covered in blood.

Gunman who
Emery who is facing 15 charges, including first-degree murder could face the death penalty once the investigation is complete, according to Prosecutors.
Prosecuting Attorney Tim Lohmar condemned the incident in a news conference calling it ‘horrific.’
He said: ‘What can possess someone to take the life of a child, is beyond on me – and we may never know.
‘This one, in particular, was the worst example of a domestic violence case. Anytime you have a domestic violence case you worry about the safety of the victim, and this would be your worst nightmare.’
‘It’s premature for us to make any sort of pronouncement about that right now, but I can tell you this thing looks and smells like a death penalty case,’ Lohmar added.
According to the report, the children’s father Kory Kasten passed away after losing his battle with cancer last summer

The DMW Boss Davido has been reportedly declared wanted in Gambia for allegedly assaulting one Kenny Egbuke, a celebrity photographer who came to cover his recent music concert in Gambia.

According to a report, Davido violently broke the head and tore the lips of the Gamiba’s most notable celebrity photographer.

It all started after a young female fan of Davido who has already taken a few pictures of him, went closer to him for a selfie while he was eating.

Gambian Police Declares Davido Wanted:

Davido angrily sent her back as he shouted at her. This then attracted Egbuke’s interest, who now came up to the scene advising Davido to take it cool with the lady, because star-struck ladies could be annoying, especially when they see a star like him.

However, the photographer’s advice got Davido more angry, making him throw a thick, heavy cognac glass at him, which shattered his lips and head.

Woman suicide bomber hurts 29 in Cameroon

At least 29 people were wounded on Wednesday when a women bomber blew herself up in a border town in Cameroon’s Far North, a region frequently hit by Boko Haram jihadists, security sources said.

But a second bomber was shot dead by troops deployed in the town before she could detonate her explosives, the source said.

“A suicide bomber blew herself up this morning in Amchide” on the Nigerian border, a regional security source said, speaking on condition of anonymity and giving a toll of 29 wounded.

The attack occurred on market day when the town was filling up with early-morning shoppers, a local civil defence group official said.

“There were many people hurt, I saw about 20,” he said. “After the attack, the market emptied.”

A once-bustling trade hub, in 2014 Amchide was thrust into the forefront of a major battle between Cameroonian troops and Boko Haram militants who held the nearby Nigerian town of Banki for several months.

The violence forced most residents to flee the town, although some have now begun to return.

After pushing back Boko Haram, the Cameroonian army dug long trenches around Amchide and even inside the town to foil new incursions by the jihadists, with Wednesday’s attack the first in many months. (NAN)

Don’t Let Me Down
The Chainsmokers
Lyrics
Crashing, hit a wall
Right now I need a miracle
Hurry up now, I need a miracle
Stranded, reaching out
I call your name but you’re not around
I say your name but you’re not around

I need you, I need you, I need you right now
Yeah, I need you right now
So don’t let me, don’t let me, don’t let me down
I think I’m losing my mind now
It’s in my head, darling I hope
That you’ll be here, when I need you the most
So don’t let me, don’t let me, don’t let me down
Don’t let me down

Don’t let me down
Don’t let me down, down, down
Don’t let me down, don’t let me down, down, down

Running out of time
I really thought you were on my side
But now there’s nobody by my side

I need you, I need you, I need you right now
Yeah, I need you right now
So don’t let me, don’t let me, don’t let me down
I think I’m losing my mind now
It’s in my head, darling I hope
That you’ll be here, when I need you the most
So don’t let me, don’t let me, don’t let me down
Don’t let me down

Don’t let me down
Don’t let me down, down, down
Don’t let me down, down, down
Don’t let me down, down, down
Don’t let me down, don’t let me down, down, down

Oh, I think I’m losing my mind now, yeah, yeah, yeah
Oh, I think I’m losing my mind now, yeah, yeah

I need you, I need you, I need you right now
Yeah, I need you right now
So don’t let me, don’t let me, don’t let me down
I think I’m losing my mind now
It’s in my head, darling I hope
That you’ll be here, when I need you the most
So don’t let me, don’t let me, don’t let me down
Don’t let me down

Yeah, don’t let me down
Yeah, don’t let me down
Don’t let me down, oh no
Said don’t let me down
Don’t let me down
Don’t let me down (down, down, down)
Don’t let me down, down, down
